Stonebridge Creek is a residential super-community with wooded greenspace, adjacent parkland, and family-friendly amenities including a swimming pool, playground, and fishing pond, located in northwest Avon Ohio, off Colorado Ave and French Creek Road.

The subdivision comprises 430 single-family homes built from 1999-2016 by Bennett Builders, K. Hovnanian, Kimball Hill, and Ryan Homes.

Stonebridge Creek Homes:

Stonebridge Creek offers two size categories of homesites.

Smaller homesites are 50′ wide and sized from 0.12 acres to 0.18, attractive to buyers who prefer to spend limited time on yard work. These lots are available as cleared or lightly treed. Homes on these smaller lots range from 1,500-3,300 square feet with 3–4 bedrooms, 2–4 bathrooms, and 2-car garages. Amenities include an open-concept great room and kitchen, flex rooms or private dens, morning rooms or dinettes, and finished basements. Backyards may have stamped patios.

Larger homesites start at 75′ wide and mainly range from 0.22 to 0.36 acres. Premium lots (primarily along the east side of the subdivision) are sized from a half-acre to over an acre. These lots are available as cleared or partially wooded. Homes include ranch and colonial styles that range from 2,300-5,000 square feet with 3–6 bedrooms and 2.5–5 baths. Amenities include two-story foyers, open-concept floor plans, vaulted great rooms, bonus rooms or private dens, first-floor owner’s suites and finished basements. Front or side-load garages accommodate 2-3 cars. Backyards with stamped patios are perfect for your outdoor gatherings.

Both lot size categories allow fences and sheds.

Amenities:

Surrounded by natural beauty, Stonebridge Creek was thoughtfully designed around 43+ acres of greenspace (yellow areas on above map), including ponds and protected nature preserves with streams and old-growth forests.

French Creek, the largest tributary of the Black River, runs along the northern portion of the community. Living along French Creek provides a serene, natural setting and opportunities for fishing and wildlife-viewing of pheasants, wild turkeys, owls, herons, deer, foxes, and beavers. This development offers its residents a complete lifestyle experience! During the warmer months, residents will enjoy the serenity of private ponds and parks, as well as playgrounds, a clubhouse with a party room, an Olympic-sized outdoor pool, and kiddie wading pool.

Bikers and exercise aficionados will appreciate the proximity to the upcoming Lorain County Metro Parks’ trail system. In 2023, they acquired a 49-acre parcel of land abutting the south side of Quail Hollow (green parcel on map above), which is to include direct access to the French Creek Greenway, a 10-foot-wide multi-purpose asphalt trail stretching between the Sheffield Village line and Detroit Road.

There are four entrances to Stonebridge Creek: the main entrance, Bridge Pointe Trail, off Colorado Ave/OH- 611; and three additional entrances from French Creek Road via Kenwyn Blvd, Muirwood Rd, and Durham Ave.

In addition to its entrance streets, this development also encompasses the streets of Berkshire Ave, Bradford Ln, Bridge Pointe Tr, Chelsea St, Conrad St, Delray Ln, Foxglen Ave, Glenwood Ln, Heron Ln, Melgrove Ln, Quail Hollow, Renwood Ave, Roxboro St, Springfield Dr, Stonewood St, Thorton Ln, and Woodhawk Ln.

Streets are enhanced by curbs, tree lawn saplings, streetlights, and sidewalks on both sides of the street, so there’s plenty of pavement to bike, skate or walk the dog.

NOTE: For those with concerns about visual encumbrance, noise, or health/safety, there are three rows of steel lattice transmission towers that run north-south across the east end of Heron Ln. 

Situated at the northwest corner of this neighborhood are Carmel at Stonebridge townhomes and Redwood Apartments complex. The western end is bordered by The Fields of Avon subdivision.

Homeowners’ Association (HOA) fees at Stonebridge Creek are approximately $500 annually.

Convenient Location

Stonebridge Creek is located along the southwest end of Avon, along the Sheffield border. It is accessible from Colorado Ave and French Creek Road.

With access to interstate I-90 only 6 minutes away, commuting is a breeze!

While the proximity to I-90 is convenient, the north and westernmost ends of the community sit directly below the interstate, which may subject it to noise pollution.

The community is located close to the top-rated Avon Local Schools (5 min to High School, 6 min to Middle School, 8 min to Heritage Elementary, 12 minutes to East Elementary) for east morning drop-offs.

In addition to the neighborhood amenities, there are many nearby opportunities for activity and enjoyment. Northgate Park has 14 acres for outdoor recreation with a sledding hill, ball fields/courts, a playground, nature trails, picnic tables and grills. French Creek YMCA offers programs for all ages and interests.  A day with the family at Huntington Beach is <20 minutes away!
