Located in southwest Avon Ohio, Highland Park is a master-planned community of 585 elegant brick-front single-family homes and exceptional family-friendly recreational amenities. It is one of Avon’s most sought-after communities!

Highland Park is located 0.7 miles north of Mills Rd between Stoney Ridge Rd and Route 83/Center Rd, encompassing the streets of Astoria Way, Avalon Ct, Bellcrest Dr, Billingsley Row, Burberry Cir, Caronia Cir, Cranlyn Terrace, Edenhall Terrace, Essex Ct, Fernway Cir, Glendenning St, Gosford Dr, Harriman Trail, Haverford Pl, Hollingsworth Ct, Huffington Cir, Lyndale Ct, Montrose Way, N Park Dr, Pelham Pl, Sanfordshire Ln, Scottsmour Ct, Silsby Ct, S Park Dr, Southington Ct, Truxton Pl, Wendell St, Wetherill Ct, and the west end of Ravinia Ln.

Homes were constructed from 1996-2021 by builders including production builders like Pulte Homes and Drees Homes, as well as custom builders like Lapos and Smitek.

Highland Park offers two lot size categories, Classic Series and Estate, ranging from easily manageable to those that can accommodate gardens, playsets and trampolines with room to spare.

Classic Series Homes:

“Classic series” homes are available as ranch or 2-story floorplans that range from 1,800-3,600 square feet with 3–4 bedrooms, 2–3.5 bathrooms, and 2-car front-load garages.

Facades are styled with full or partial brick.

Ranch homes feature front entry halls and open concept floorplans with formal dining areas or private dens, fireplaced great rooms (some are vaulted), and kitchens with pantries and dinette areas. Owner’s suites have walk-in closets and en suite bathrooms with dual sinks, a walk-in shower and/or soaking/jetted tub, and enclosed commodes. Lower levels may be finished with rec rooms and bars.

Two-story homes may include two-story foyers with open staircases, mudrooms or mud halls, formal living rooms and/or private dens, formal dining rooms, great rooms with stone-faced gas fireplaces (some have vaulted ceilings) that open to kitchens with quartz/granite countertops, center islands, breakfast bars, pantries, and dinette areas. First or second floor owner’s suites feature walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with dual sinks/vanities, walk-in showers, soaking or jetted tubs, and enclosed commodes. Lower levels may be finished with rec rooms, bars and theater rooms.

Backyards may include stamped patios or decks.

Classic series homesites are approximately 70′ wide and are sized from 0.17 to 0.38 acres, appealing to buyers who prefer to spend limited time on yard work. Many of these lots are lightly treed.

Classic Series homes occupy streets along the east side of the subdivision: Astoria Way, Billingsley Row, Caronia Cir, Haverford Pl, Hollingsworth Ct, Silsby Ct, and eight homes along N Park Dr.

Estate Homes:

The majority of the community is “Estate” homes, which include 2-story floorplans ranging from 2,400-5,800+ square feet with 4–6 bedrooms and 2.5–5 bathrooms.

Most homes boast stately full brick facades.

These impressive homes may include two-story foyers with open staircases, mudrooms or mud halls with built-ins, formal living rooms and/or private dens, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, great rooms with stone-faced gas fireplaces (some have vaulted or 2-story ceilings!) that open to kitchens with quartz/granite countertops, center islands, breakfast bars, pantries, and dinette areas. First or second floor owner’s suites feature walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with dual sinks/vanities, walk-in showers, soaking or jetted tubs, and enclosed commodes. Lower levels may be finished with rec rooms, bars and theater rooms. Side-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars.

Backyards oases feature stamped patios and/or composite decks, covered living areas, fireplaces and/or outdoor kitchens.

Estate homesites are approximately 100′ wide, ranging from 0.34 to 1.55 acres. Numerous lots are lightly treed.

Highland Park Amenities:

In addition to stunning homes, the Highland Park subdivision also offers a complete lifestyle experience! Amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, a children’s wading pool, a fully-equipped community center, tennis and pickleball courts, and a 20-acre nature park with greenspace, a fitness path, playground, and wooded area with bike trails and jumps.

There are three stately entrances to Highland Park, each with meticulously landscaped brick signage: Harriman Trl off Stoney Ridge Rd, and S Park Dr off Stoney Ridge Rd and Center Rd/State Route 83.

Streets are enhanced by street trees, streetlights, curbs, and sidewalks on both sides of the street.

Glendenning St, Harriman Trl and Truxton Pl have dead-end streets, which could be extended with future development opportunities.

In 2024, Ravinia Ln was extended to the east with a cul-de-sac for the ten-home community of Stoney Acres.

All mailboxes are the same color and design, bringing consistency to the streetscape.

Highland Park Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees are approximately $450 annually.

Location & Nearby Amenities

Highland Park is located in the south-central region of Avon, near the northern end of North Ridgeville. It sits between Stoney Ridge Road and Route 83/Center Road, approximately 0.7 miles north of Mills Rd.

This southern section of Avon is surrounded by golf courses and pastures, tucked away from the bustle of retail and interstate congestion.

It is approximately 10 minutes from Interstate 90, via either the OH-254/Detroit Rd or OH-83/Center Road interchange.

With close proximity to top-rated Avon Schools, driving to school is a breeze: Heritage Elementary, the Middle and High School are roughly 6 mins away; Avon East Elementary is about 8 mins.

There are many nearby opportunities for activity and enjoyment. Just 3 minutes north is Miller Nature Preserve. It offers nature lovers hiking trails, a seasonal butterfly house, and a 5,000-square-foot conservatory featuring orchids and various plant specimens from around the world. There’s also a visitor center with a gift shop, café, event hall, and an outdoor patio that hosts weekly music events during summertime. Come winter, the community center hosts art, cooking and card-making classes.

Veterans Memorial Park has 98 acres including walking trails, ponds, ball fields/courts, a playground, restrooms, and two pavilions with picnic tables and grills. The park is also home to the annual Avon Heritage Duct Tape Festival.

There’s also the French Creek YMCA, a state-of-the-art, 6,000+ square-foot facility featuring an eight-lane indoor pool, aerobics studio, family gym, sauna, whirlpool, wellness center and child-care center.

Catch a minor league baseball game at Avon’s Crushers Stadium, home of the Lake Erie Crushers. On rainy days, you’ll find indoor entertainment for the whole family at Main Event, offering state-of-the-art bowling; more than 110 of the hottest interactive and video games; multi-level laser tag; regulation billiards and relaxing shuffleboard; and a bar & restaurant.

If you’re a golfer, there are a number of courses nearby: Bob-O-Link Golf Course is right across the street from the main entrance of S Park Dr, 11 min to Sweetbriar and Hilliard Lakes, 13 min to Valley of the Eagles Golf Club, 17 min to Springvale, and 18 min to Cherry Ridge Golf Course.

The area has also has several private clubs: 6 min to Red Tail Golf Club, 13 min to Avon Oaks Country Club, and 14 min to Lakewood Country Club.

Should you desire a day at the lake, Huntington Beach is only 20 minutes away!

A plethora of shopping and dining options are nearby at Avon Commons (<10 minutes): Costco, Heinen’s grocery, GNC, Target, Kohl’s, Walmart, Home Depot, World Market, Michael’s, Marshall’s, Old Navy, Bath & Body Works, Famous Footwear, Panera, IHOP, Friday’s, Applebee’s. The 75-acre, open-air collection of restaurants, retail, entertainment & leisure at Crocker Park is only 15 minutes away.

There are some excellent Avon restaurants like Nemo Grille, Avon Brewing Company, Heck’s of Avon for burgers, In Forno for Neapolitan pizza, Kelsey Elizabeth Cakes for macarons, Veranda Bistro & Bar, and my personal favorite, Strip Steakhouse (I recommend the “Flip Flop” cold lobster salad, and any of the steaks accompanied with Gruyère Mac and Cheese and Bourbon Creamed Corn).
