About Orchard Trail in Avon
Orchard Trail is a community of 162 single-family and limited-maintenance detached cluster homes in southwest Avon, Ohio offering abundant greenspace, walking trails, and fountained fishing ponds.
This development is located 0.2 miles south of French Creek Rd, off the west side of Moon Rd, and comprises the streets of Courseview Dr, Fieldstone Trl, Grove Ln, Hawthorne Dr, Wheaton Dr, and Woodland Trl.


This subdivision was built by Ryan Homes from 2004-2017.
Being a production-built community, elevations have a similar aesthetic. Facades are either full vinyl or accented with stone or brick.
Orchard Trail floorplans include ranch, cape cod, and 2-story homes. Ranches range from 1,400-4,400 square feet with 2–3 bedrooms and 2–3.5 bathrooms. Cape cods (1.5-story homes) range from 2,100-3,200 square feet with 3–4 bedrooms and 2.5–4 bathrooms. Colonials range from 2,100-3,500+ square feet with 3–5 bedrooms and 2.5–4 bathrooms.
Single-family homes are available as ranch and 2-story (colonial) designs and feature first or second floor laundry rooms (plans with second level laundry rooms have garage-entry mudrooms), formal dining rooms and/or offices, and fireplaced great rooms that open to kitchens featuring granite/quartz counters, breakfast bars, pantries, dinettes, and even sunrooms. Owner’s suites are on the second level and include walk-in closets and private bathrooms with dual sink vanities, and walk-in showers and/or soaking tubs. Basements may be finished with rec rooms and bars. Front-load garages accommodate 2-3 cars.
Cluster homes are available as ranch and 1.5-story (cape cod) designs and feature first floor laundry rooms, formal dining rooms or offices, and fireplaced great rooms that open to kitchens featuring granite/quartz counters, breakfast bars, pantries, dinettes, and even sunrooms. First floor owner’s suites include walk-in closets and private bathrooms with dual sink vanities, and walk-in showers. Second levels may have lofts. Basements may be finished with rec rooms and bars. Front-load garages accommodate 2 cars.

Orchard Trail homesites range from 0.18 to 0.25 acres, making yardwork easily manageable for single-family homeowners (lawn care is taken care of for cluster homes).
Previously farmland, the development is flat and offers wide open vistas. Other than the treeline surrounding much of the development’s perimeter, privacy is achieved by privacy fencing or planted pines.
Some homes abut HOA-owned common area (yellow areas within the red border on map above), offering extended vistas, wooded backdrops, or fountained pond views.
Meandering around the greenspace is a mile of gravel walking paths, popular with trail runners or nature lovers.
🚂Train tracks run just beyond the west end of the development.
⚡For those with sensitivities or concerns about visual encumbrance, high-voltage (HV) steel H-frame transmission towers run along the train tracks.

The entrances to Woodland Trail and Courseview Drive are decorated with lush landscaping, two-rail fencing, and engraved masonry signage.
The development is enhanced with street trees, lantern-style streetlights, curbs, and sidewalks on both sides of the street.
Fieldstone Trl is currently a dead-end street, which could be extended with future development opportunities.
Mail is delivered to group mailboxes located between every few houses.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees for Orchard Trail’s single-family homes are approximately $650 annually.
The cluster homes of Orchard Trail Lifestyle Community offer limited maintenance living, which includes snow removal and lawn care. Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees for these cluster homes are approximately $170 monthly.
Orchard Trail is connected to the neighboring community to the south, McIntosh Farms, via Woodland Trl.
Other nearby Avon communities include Amberwood just across the street on Moon Rd, Avondale off Detroit Rd, and Fairfield Estates and Stonebridge Creek off French Creek Rd.

Location & Nearby Amenities
The subdivision of Orchard Trail is located along the border of Sheffield in southwest Avon, Ohio, off the west side of Moon Rd, 0.2 miles south of French Creek Rd.
Commuting is a breeze, with access to I-90 in under 10 minutes.
The community is located close to Avon’s top-ranked schools (∼5 mins drive to Middle & High Schools; 8 mins to Early Learning Center; 10 mins to Heritage Elementary; 15 mins to East Elementary), making for easy morning drop-offs.
There are many nearby opportunities for activity and enjoyment. You are only 6 minutes from Veterans Memorial Park with 98 acres for outdoor recreation including walking trails, ponds, ball fields/courts, a playground, a dog park, restrooms, and two pavilions with picnic tables and grills. There’s also the nearby Miller Nature Preserve, offering nature lovers hiking trails, a seasonal butterfly house, and a 5,000-square-foot conservatory featuring orchids and various plant specimens from around the world. There’s also a visitor center with a gift shop, café, event hall, and an outdoor patio that hosts weekly music events during summertime. Come winter, the community center hosts art, cooking and card-making classes.
If you’re a golfer, there are a number of courses nearby: 10 min to Bob-O-Link and Valley of the Eagles Golf Club, 14 min to Sweetbriar and Cherry Ridge Golf Course, and 18 min to Hilliard Lakes.
There are also a number of private clubs in the vicinity: 14 min to Red Tail Golf Club and Avon Oaks Country Club, and 17 min to Lakewood Country Club.
If you desire a day at the beach, Huntington Reservation is just 20 minutes away!
As far as entertainment, there are plenty of options. Catch a minor league baseball game at Avon’s Crushers Stadium, home of the Lake Erie Crushers. On rainy days, you’ll find indoor entertainment for the whole family at Main Event, offering state-of-the-art bowling; more than 110 of the hottest interactive and video games; multi-level laser tag; regulation billiards and relaxing shuffleboard; and a bar & restaurant.
A plethora of shopping and dining options are nearby in Sheffield (7 min), Avon Commons (9 minutes), and Crocker Park (15 minutes).
