The Trails at Redwood Falls (aka Redwood Falls) in Hinckley, Ohio is an upscale conservation community of 97 homes surrounded by 100+ acres of conservation area, seven ponds and nature trails.

This development was built on the 200-acre site of the former Skyland Golf Course, located at the northeast corner of Stony Hill and Center Roads, and encompasses the streets of Cascade Ln, Hayden Dr, Lanterman Cir, and Skyland Falls Blvd.

Homes were constructed in four phases between 2019-2025.

Homes were constructed by both production and custom builders, including Drees Homes, Edgewood Homes, Pulte Homes, Greco Builders, Windridge Homes, and Legacy-Carrington Homes—a collaborative project between Carrington Homes and Legacy Homes of Medina.

Architectural and minimum square footage requirements ensure a cohesive streetscape in both home design and scale.

Facades feature transitional and modern farmhouse architecture with stone wrap details.

Floorplans include ranch, 1.5-story and 2-story styles that range from 2,000-5,600+ square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-4.5 bathrooms.

Since homes were constructed by various builders, building materials and amenities vary. Common features include open floorplans, laundry rooms with utility tubs, dramatic two-story foyers with open staircases, hardwood flooring, custom ceilings, formal dining rooms, formal living rooms and/or private dens, two-story/vaulted great rooms with fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows that open to kitchens featuring granite/quartz countertops, a tiled backsplash, breakfast bar, walk-in pantry, dinette area, and even a sunroom or hearth room. First or second-floor owner’s suites include walk-in closets and spa-like baths with custom tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed commodes. Finished lower levels (a few are coveted walkouts!) are complete with media rooms, kitchens/kitchenettes, bars, and exercise rooms. Side-entry garages accommodate 3-4 cars.

Homes are serviced by central water and sewer.

Backyards are appointed with custom patios and/or decks, covered porches, and firepits or fireplaces.

Homesites are approximately ≥110′ wide x 175′ deep with 45′ building setbacks and range from 0.44 to 1.22 acres.

Most lots are fully cleared, but there are some wooded areas within the surrounding conservation area.

The conservation area includes seven ponds, either existing or stormwater management basins, offering water views.

The topography of the site is primarily flat, but there are some gently sloping lots.

A few small tributary streams of the East Branch Rocky River meander through the conservation area. The most prominent stream flows along the northern cul-de-sac of Cascade Ln, where there are riparian setbacks along property lines.

The subdivision has two entrances: Skyland Falls Blvd off Center Rd and Hayden Dr off Stony Hill Rd. Both entrances are flanked by gorgeous landscape beds with boulders. The main entrance on Skyland Falls Blvd is also ornamented by a pergola-topped stacked stone signage wall. A treed earth berm runs along Center Rd, providing privacy from the main road.

Cascade Ln and Lanterman Cir end in permanent cul-de-sacs.

As with most Hinckley developments, there are no curbs or sidewalks.

With no connection to another community, traffic is limited to residents and their guests.

Mail is delivered to cluster box units.

This neighborhood is served by the highly-rated Highland Local School Districtalong with bussing to St. Albert the Great School and the prestigious Old Trail School. Hinckley Elementary is right around the corner (3 min drive).

Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees for The Trails at Redwood Falls are approximately $1,250 annually.

Bordering the community to the east is The Ledges of Stone Creek.

Other nearby subdivisions include Crystalbrooke and Kensington Place.

The Trails at Redwood Falls is located in northwest Hinckley, Ohio, at the northeast corner of Stony Hill Rd and Center Rd (S.R. 303).

Highways are accessible in 6 min to I-271 and I-71, and 13 min to I-77, and 14 min to I-80/Turnpike.

Downtown Brunswick is just 10 min west with Home Depot, Marc’s Starbucks, GNC, UPS, Giant Eagle grocery, banking, dining and more.

The Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is only a 5 min drive with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges. Hinckley Reservation is also home to the annual festival known as Buzzard’s Day, which celebrates the return of the turkey vulture to the area around mid-March. The Metroparks’ Mill Stream Run Reservation is 13 min away with trails, rope courses and zip lines, as well as The Chalet, which has two toboggan chutes that are open in the winter. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is 17 min away with 33,000-acres including the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.

Golfers are only 7 min to Valleaire, Pine Hills and St. Bernard Golf Club; 9 min to Hinckley Hills and Ironwood; 13 min to Briarwood; 14 min to Bunker Hills; and 15 min to Seneca Golf Courses.
