Boston Commons Homes
About Boston Commons in Hinckley
Boston Commons is an upscale community of roughly 125 custom-built homes in northeast Hinckley Ohio, located off the south side of Boston Rd, 0.7 miles west of Ridge Rd.
Homes were constructed from 1977-2000 by builders including Candlelight Homes and Schmitz Builders. Many homes have since been updated.
Homes include ranch and two-story styles that range from 2,600-5,900 square feet with 3-6 bedrooms and 3-5.5 bathrooms.
Varying facades of traditional, contemporary, and Tudor designs make for a unique and interesting streetscape.
Being that homes were constructed over 20+ years, features will vary. Generally, homes offer hardwood flooring, first-floor laundry rooms, designated foyers (some two-story) private dens, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, formal living rooms, and fireplaced great rooms (some are vaulted) that open to kitchens including quartz or granite countertops, breakfast bar, pantry, and dinette area. Owner’s suites (most are second floor) include vaulted ceilings, walk-in closets and bathrooms with soaking/jetted tubs and/or custom tiled walk-in showers, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Finished lower levels (some are coveted walkouts!) are complete with media rooms, bars and exercise rooms. Garages accommodate 2-3 cars.
Homes are serviced by public sewer and water.
Outdoor living is enhanced by decks, custom patios, fire pits/fireplaces, covered porches, gazebos, and/or swimming pools.
Most homesites range from 0.76 to 1.0 acres, but there are larger lots up to 4.3 acres. Many backyards are treed or wooded for privacy.
Approximately seven homes along the southwest corner of the development abut a 17-acre forested nature preserve (yellow parcel on map above) for enhanced privacy and endless views of foliage.
The development has varied rolling terrain, offering diversity in street elevations.
Healey Creek, a tributary to the East Branch of the Rocky River (blue line on above map), meanders through the rear properties of homes along the southeast corner, offering scenic ravined topography. View FEMA Flood Map.
The entrance street of Salem Ct is off the south side of Boston Rd, 0.7 miles west of Ridge Rd.
In addition to homes on Salem Ct, this development also encompasses the streets of Concord Ln, Newbury Oval, Oxford Cir, Plymouth Oval, Providence Dr, Somerset Dr, most of Willow Bark Ln (house numbers 2085-2179), and eleven homes on Boston Rd (even house numbers 2020-2140).
