Morning Star Farm in Hinckley Ohio is an upscale single-street subdivision of roughly 20 homes custom-built by builders including Vision Custom Homes and Wilson Pay Builders between 2007-2016.

This community has ranch, colonial and cape cod styles. Homes mainly range from 3,600-7,700+ square feet with 3-6 bedrooms and 2.5-5.5 bathrooms. Being that there were numerous builders in this development, homes vary in features. Common amenities include open floorplans, hardwood flooring, custom ceilings, laundry rooms with utility tubs, dramatic two-story foyers with open staircases, formal dining rooms, private dens, and two-story/vaulted great rooms with fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows that open to large kitchens feature an abundance of quartz or granite countertops, tile backsplash, breakfast bar seating, walk-in pantry, dinette area, and gathering room or sunroom/hearth room. First-floor owner’s suites include walk-in closets, and spa-like baths with custom tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Finished lower levels are complete with media rooms, kitchens/kitchenettes, bars, and exercise rooms. Side-entry garages accommodate 3-6 cars

Homes have city water and septic systems.

Outdoor living is complete with custom patios and/or decks, covered porches, and firepits.

Lightly treed to heavily wooded homesites range from 2.0 to 2.14 acres. There is also one lot measuring 3.3 acres with a large pond.

The entrance on Morning Star Dr is off the north side of Ledge Rd, just west of Ridge Rd. It is flanked by mature pines and a landscape bed with boulders on the left.

The first homes on Morning Star Dr are set back from the entrance, so no homes directly border the main road. As with most Hinkley developments, there are no curbs or sidewalks.

Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Mornings Star Farm are approximately $240 annually.

This neighborhood is serviced by the highly-rated Highland Local School District along with bussing to St. Albert the Great School and the prestigious Old Trail School.

Morning Star Farm is bordered to the west by the subdivision of Weymouth Farms, and to the northwest by Hunters Creek. Other nearby developments include Canturbury Farms.

The subdivision of Morning Star Farm is located in southwest Hinckley along the border of Medina, off Ledge Rd, 0.3 miles west of Ridge Rd.

Highways are accessible in 3 min to I-271, 7 min to I-71, 9 min to I-77, and 15 min to I-80/Turnpike.

The Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is only a 6 min drive with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges. Hinckley Reservation is also home to the annual festival known as Buzzard’s Day, which celebrates the return of the turkey vulture to the area around mid-March. The Metroparks’ Mill Stream Run Reservation is 18 min away with trails, rope courses and zip lines, as well as The Chalet, which has two toboggan chutes that are open in the winter. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is 17 min away with 33,000-acres including the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.

Golfers are only 10 min to Valleaire, 11 min to Pine Hills, 12 min to Hinckley Hills and Ironwood, 13 min to Bunker Hill, and 16 min to Briarwood. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, St. Bernard Golf Club and Weymouth Country Club are both 10 min away.
