Tamarind Meadows is a community of roughly 32 homes in southwest Hinckley, Ohio. This development is located off the west side of Stony Hill Rd, 0.6 miles north of Weymouth Rd, comprising the streets of In addition to Tamarind Trl, Turnstone Ct and Amaranth Ct, as well as one home on Stony Hill Rd (house number 2106).

Homes were built from 2008-2018 by builders including Drees Homes and WillowWood Homes.

The minimum square footage of living area (not including basement, porches, patios or garage) stipulated for this subdivision was 2,800 for a structure with two full floors, 2,600 for a 1.5-story dwelling, and 2,300 for ranch homes.

Homes include cape cod, colonial and ranch styles that mainly range from 3,000-7,100+ square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 3.5-5 bathrooms.

Being that there were several builders in this development, homes vary in features. Common amenities include open floorplans, open staircases, ceramic tile and hardwood flooring, laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, formal dining rooms, private dens, and great rooms with fireplaces and large windows that open to kitchens featuring quartz or granite countertops, tile backsplash, breakfast bar seating, walk-in pantry, dinette area and/or sunroom. First or second-floor owner’s suites include walk-in closets, and spa-like baths with custom tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed commodes. Finished lower levels (some are coveted walk-outs!) are complete with media rooms, kitchens/kitchenettes, bars, wine cellars, and exercise rooms. Side-entry garages accommodate 3-4 cars.

This subdivision has public water and septic systems.

Outdoor living is enhanced with custom patios and/or composite decks, covered porches, and fire pits or fireplaces.

Homesites are sized around 2.0 acres. There is also one double lot measuring 5.65 acres. Homesites include wooded, partially wooded, or cleared lots that achieve privacy with planted pines. Several lots have pond views.

Sub-transmission lines run along the western end of the community for those with sensitivities or concerns about visual encumbrance.

Entrance on Tamarind Trail

The entrance street of Tamarind Trl is off Stony Hill Rd. It is flanked on the left side by a landscaped bed with a stacked stone signage wall and a backdrop of mature pines.

All three streets have a cul-de-sac.

Masonry mailboxes add elegance to the streetscape.

As with most Hinckley developments, there are no curbs or sidewalks.

This neighborhood is serviced by the highly-rated Highland Local School District along with bussing to St. Albert the Great School and the prestigious Old Trail School.

Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Tamarind Meadows are approximately $150 annually. The HOA hosts a variety of family-friendly events for Easter, 4th of July, and New Year’s.

Other nearby subdivisions include Canterbury Farms and Stone Ridge.

The subdivision of Tamarind Meadows is located in southwest Hinckley, Ohio off Stony Hill Rd, 0.6 miles north of Weymouth Rd.

Highways are accessible in 5 min to I-271, 7 min to I-71, 11 min to I-77, and 15 min to I-80/Turnpike.

The Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is only a 6 min drive with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges. Hinckley Reservation is also home to the annual festival known as Buzzard’s Day, which celebrates the return of the turkey vulture to the area around mid-March. The Metroparks’ Mill Stream Run Reservation is 14 min away with trails, rope courses and zip lines, as well as The Chalet, which has two toboggan chutes that are open in the winter. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is 18 min away with 33,000-acres including the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.

Golfers will appreciate being only 8 min to Pine Hills, 10 min to Valleaire, 11 min to Hinckley Hills, 12 min to Ironwood, 13 min to Bunker Hill, and 15 min to Briarwood. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, St. Bernard Golf Club and Weymouth Country Club are both 10 min away.
