About Canyon Creek Estates in Hinckley
Canyon Creek Estates is a community of 53 luxury homes in northwest Hinckley Ohio adjacent to Pine Hills Golf Club. Homes were custom-built by builders including Terry Building (David Terry) from 1989-2000, with the most recent home built in 2012.
Canyon Creek Estates encompasses two unconnected subdivisions, which are both accessible from W 130th St.
The north section of the subdivision is off Warner Rd, which intersects W 130th St. The entrance on Canyon Creek Dr is flanked on the right by a landscaped bed with signage.

The northern section comprises 25 homes on Canyon Creek Dr and 3 homes on Brook Haven Ln (also spelled as Brookhaven Ln). This section has curbs on both sides of the street, but no sidewalks. This section is also accessible through the neighboring development of Brookside Estates, which exits on Boston Rd.
To the south, directly off W 130th St, is the second phase of Canyon Creek Estates. Its entrance is flanked by stacked stones and earth berms with mature trees, providing privacy from the main road. In the center of the street is a divided median with landscaping and an engraved grindstone.

The southern section includes 28 homes on the cul-de-sac streets of S Canyon Trl, Oak View Cir (also spelled Oakview Cir), and Ashberry Ln. Each has curbs and sidewalks on both sides of the street—a rarity in Hinckley developments! It is not connected to any other community, so traffic is limited to residents and their guests.


With finished basements (many are coveted walkouts!), these homes mainly range from 3,500-8,300 square feet with 3-6 bedrooms and 3.5-6.5+ bathrooms.
A number of homes boast an all-brick surround.
Inside, homes feature open floorplans, hardwood flooring, ceramic and marble flooring, two-story foyers with open staircases, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, formal living rooms, sunrooms, private dens, and two-story/vaulted great rooms with fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows that open to large kitchens featuring an abundance of granite countertops, tile backsplash, breakfast bar, walk-in pantry, and dinette area. First or second-floor owner’s suites include vaulted or tray ceilings, fireplaces, large walk-in closets and bathrooms with custom tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed commodes. Finished lower levels (many are coveted walkouts!) are complete with media or theater rooms, kitchens/kitchenettes, bars and exercise rooms. Oversized garages accommodate 3-4 cars.
Homes are serviced by municipal sewer and water.
Outdoor living is enhanced by multi-tiered decks, custom patios, paved terraces, fire pits or fireplaces, and water features.
Homesites range from .56 to 2.7 acres. There is one lot (the builder’s own) with 6.8 acres.
Nearly every backyard is heavily wooded and secluded. A number of homes also have treed front yards, providing privacy from the street.
The southern side of Canyon Creek Dr and S Canyon Trl abut Pine Hills Golf Club.
Healey Creek, a tributary to the East Branch of the Rocky River, runs between the two sections of the community. Its deep wooded ravines offer rolling topography for scenic views. See FEMA Flood Map.
This neighborhood is within Brunswick City School District. Located on the opposite side of W 130th St is Crestview Elementary. Biking to the elementary school is ≤6 min from the Canyon Creek Dr subdivision and a ≤3 min from the S Canyon Trl subdivision.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Canyon Creek Estates are approximately $460 annually.

Convenient Location
Located in northwest Hinckley Ohio, along the border of Brunswick, North Royalton and Strongsville, Canyon Creek Estates is accessible off the east side of West 130th St, just south of Boston Rd.
Highways are accessible in 8 min to I-71, 13 min to I-271, 15 min to I-80/Turnpike, and 20 min to I-77.
The Metroparks’ Mill Stream Run Reservation is 8 min away with trails, rope courses and zip lines, as well as The Chalet, which has two toboggan chutes that are open in the winter. The Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is only an 11 min drive with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges. Hinckley Reservation is also home to the annual festival known as Buzzard’s Day, which celebrates the return of the turkey vulture to the area around mid-March. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is 20 min away with 33,000-acres including the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.
If you’re a golfer, this is a prime location with only 3 min to Pine Hills (just south of the development), 8 min to Valleaire, 12 min to Briarwood and Hinckley Hills, 13 min to Ironwood, and 15 min to Bunker Hill. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, St. Bernard Golf Club, Weymouth Country Club, and Pleasant Valley Country Club are all roughly 13 min away.
