About Arborcrest Reserve in Hinckley

Arborcrest Reserve is a community of 43 luxury homes in northwest Hinckley Ohio. Homes were custom-built between 2005-2019 by builders including J.E. Moran Builders and Wilson Pay Builders.

Building requirements stipulated a minimum square footage of 2,500 for ranches and 2,800 for two-story homes.

With finished basements, homes mainly range from 3,800-7,400+ square feet with 3-6 bedrooms and 2.5-5.5+ bathrooms. Homes include ranch, cape cod and colonial styles.

These homes are loaded with premium finishes and details including open floorplans, hardwood flooring, custom architectural millwork, solid-core doors, heated floors, zoned temperature control, custom ceilings, large laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, mudrooms with benches and storage, dramatic two-story foyers with open staircases, formal dining rooms with butler’s pantry, formal living rooms and/or private dens with built-ins, and two-story/vaulted great rooms with fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows that open to kitchens featuring quartz or granite countertops, tile backsplash, breakfast bar, walk-in pantry, top-of-the-line appliances, dinette area, and hearth room or sunroom. First or second-floor owner’s suites include sitting areas, large walk-in closets with built-ins, and spa-like baths with custom tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed commode. Finished lower levels (many are coveted walk-outs!) are complete with media or theater rooms, kitchens/kitchenettes, bars, wine cellars, and exercise rooms. A few homes have geothermal systems. Side-entry garages accommodate 3-4 cars. Some also have a detached garage.

This subdivision has public water and septic systems.

Outdoor living is enhanced with professional landscaping multi-tiered custom patios and/or decks, covered or screened porches, fire pits or fireplaces, ponds, and even in-ground pools.

Homesites are sized from 2 to 4 acres. Many are scenic sloping lots with wooded backyards.

Directly north of the Arborcrest Dr cul-de-sac is a 16.5-acre land preserve (yellow area on above map) created by Brian Bacik which includes a lake, waterfalls, beach, and a “picnic rock.”

The entrance street of Arborcrest Dr is off the north side of Center Rd (OH-303), just west of Stony Hill Rd. The front of the development is lined with mature trees for privacy from the main road. On the right side of the entrance is a landscape bed with stacked stone signage.

In addition to Arborcrest Dr, the community also encompasses the streets of Sandy Creek Trl and Angela Vista Dr, each of which has a cul-de-sac. As with most Hinckley developments, there are no curbs or sidewalks.

This neighborhood is serviced by the highly-rated Highland Local School District along with bussing to St. Albert the Great School and the prestigious Old Trail School.

Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Arborcrest Reserve are approximately $150 annually.

Nearby subdivisions include CrystalbrookeKensington PlaceThe Ledges of Stone Creek, and The Trails at Redwood Falls.

Just west of the development is Hillside Orchard & Farm Market for locally grown produce, homemade pies, baked goods, and jarred/cannery items.

Downtown Brunswick is just 2 miles west with Home Depot, Marc’s Starbucks, GNC, UPS, Giant Eagle grocery, banking, dining and more.

Highways are accessible in 4 min to I-71, 8 min to I-271, 15 min to I-77, and 18 min to I-80/Turnpike.

The Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is only a 6 min drive with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges. Hinckley Reservation is also home to the annual festival known as Buzzard’s Day, which celebrates the return of the turkey vulture to the area around mid-March. The Metroparks’ Mill Stream Run Reservation is 12 min away with trails, rope courses and zip lines, as well as The Chalet, which has two toboggan chutes that are open in the winter. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is 19 min away with 33,000-acres including the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.

Golfers are just 6 min to Pine Hills, 8 min to Valleaire, 10 min to Hinckley Hills and Ironwood, 14 min to Briarwood and Bunker Hill. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, St. Bernard Golf Club is 8 min; Weymouth Country Club and Pleasant Valley Country Club are 12 min away.
