About Arborcrest Reserve in Hinckley
Arborcrest Reserve is a community of 47 luxury homes in northwest Hinckley, Ohio, located just west of Stony Hill Rd off the north side of Center Rd (OH-303). This development encompasses one home on Babcock Rd and the cul-de-sac streets of Arborcrest Dr, Sandy Creek Trl, and Angela Vista Dr.
Homes were custom-built between 2005-2024 by builders including J.E. Moran Builders and Wilson Pay Builders.
In April 2023, a large parcel of property was re-platted for Phase 2, adding two additional lots along Arborcrest Dr cul-de-sac and one on Babcock Rd. The lot off Babcock Rd was artfully landscaped by its previous owner Brian Bacik to include a manmade lake, waterfalls, beach, and a “picnic rock.”
Building requirements stipulated a minimum square footage of 2,500 for ranches and 2,800 for two-story homes.
With finished basements, homes mainly range from 3,800-7,400+ square feet with 3-6 bedrooms and 2.5-5.5+ bathrooms. Homes include ranch, cape cod and colonial styles.
These homes are loaded with premium finishes and details including open floorplans, hardwood flooring, custom architectural millwork, solid-core doors, heated floors, zoned temperature control, custom ceilings, large laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, mudrooms with benches and storage, dramatic two-story foyers with open staircases, formal dining rooms with butler’s pantry, formal living rooms and/or private dens with built-ins, and two-story/vaulted great rooms with fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows that open to kitchens featuring quartz or granite countertops, tile backsplash, breakfast bar, walk-in pantry, top-of-the-line appliances, dinette area, and hearth room or sunroom. First or second-floor owner’s suites include sitting areas, large walk-in closets with built-ins, and spa-like baths with custom tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed commodes. Finished lower levels (many are coveted walk-outs!) are complete with media or theater rooms, kitchens/kitchenettes, bars, wine cellars, and exercise rooms.
Side-entry garages accommodate 3-4 cars. Some properties also have a detached garage for additional parking.
This subdivision has public water and septic systems.
Outdoor living is enhanced with professional landscaping, multi-tiered custom patios and/or decks, covered or screened porches, fire pits or fireplaces, and ponds.
Backyard sheds, playsets, gardens, and in-ground pools are permitted.
Homesites are sized from 2.0 to 4.5 acres. There is also one 11-acre lot.
Many are scenic sloping lots with wooded backyards.
The entrance to Arborcrest Dr is ornamented by a lushly landscaped bed with a stacked stone signage wall.
The front of the community has an earth berm with with mature trees providing privacy from the main road.
All three streets end in a permanent cul-de-sac.
As with most Hinckley developments, there are no curbs or sidewalks.
This neighborhood is serviced by the highly-rated Highland Local School District along with bussing to St. Albert the Great School and the prestigious Old Trail School.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Arborcrest Reserve are approximately $250 annually.
Nearby subdivisions include Crystalbrooke, Kensington Place, The Ledges of Stone Creek, and The Trails at Redwood Falls.

Hinckley Reservation is also home to the annual festival known as Buzzard’s Day, which celebrates the return of the turkey vulture to the area around mid-March. The Metroparks’ Mill Stream Run Reservation is 12 min away with trails, rope courses and zip lines, as well as The Chalet, which has two toboggan chutes that are open in the winter. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is 19 min away with 33,000-acres including the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.
Golfers are just 6 min to Pine Hills, 8 min to Valleaire, 10 min to Hinckley Hills and Ironwood, 14 min to Briarwood and Bunker Hill. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, St. Bernard Golf Club is 8 min; Weymouth Country Club and Pleasant Valley Country Club are 12 min away.
