About Crystalbrooke in Hinckley
Crystalbrooke is a prestigious community of 45 custom-built luxury homes in northwest Hinckley, Ohio. This subdivision is located off the south side of Mattingly Rd, 0.4 miles west of Ridge Rd, and comprises the streets of Crystalbrooke Dr (aka Crystal Brooke Dr), Whisper Bluff Trl and Hawksledge Ct (also spelled Hawks Ledge Ct).


Homes were constructed between 2002-2015 by custom builders including Don Pre and Europa Homes.
Homes include ranch, cape cod and colonial styles that range in size from 4,000-11,800 square feet with 3-6 bedrooms and 3.5-8.5 bathrooms.
These homes are loaded with premium finishes and details including open floorplans, hardwood flooring, custom architectural millwork, solid-core doors, heated floors, zoned temperature control, custom ceilings, mudrooms with benches and storage, and large laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets. dramatic two-story foyers with open staircases, private dens with built-ins, formal dining rooms, butler’s pantries, and fireplaced two-story/vaulted great rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows that open to large kitchens featuring quartz or granite countertops, tile backsplash, breakfast bar, walk-in pantry, top-of-the-line appliances, dinette area, and hearth room or sunroom. First or second-floor owner’s suites include sitting areas, large walk-in closets with built-ins, and spa-like bathrooms with custom tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Homesites are mainly sized between 2.0 to 5.49 acres. There are also two larger lots with 8.0 and 10.0 acres.

Several tributary streams (dashed light blue lines on above map; some not pictured) of the Rocky River East Branch meander through the subdivision, creating scenic sloping topography.

The entrance to Crystalbrooke Dr (also spelled Crystal Brooke Dr) is flanked by a long line of mature trees, providing privacy to the front of the development. To the left of the entrance is a landscaped bed with stacked boulders and signage.
Crystalbrooke Dr, Whisper Bluff Trl and Hawksledge Ct all have a permanent cul-de-sac.
As with many Hinckley communities, there are no curbs or sidewalks.
This neighborhood is served by the highly-rated Highland Local School District along with bussing to St. Albert the Great School and the prestigious Old Trail School.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Crystalbrooke are approximately $250 annually.
Nearby subdivisions include Arborcrest Reserve, Kensington Place, The Ledges of Stone Creek, The Reserve at Pine Valley, and The Trails at Redwood Falls.

The subdivision of Crystalbrooke is located in the northwest quadrant of Hinckley, Ohio off the south side of Mattingly Rd, 0.4 miles west of Ridge Rd.
Highways are accessible in 8 min to I-71 and I-271, 15 min to I-77, and 18 min to I-80/Turnpike.
The Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is only a 7 min drive with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges. Hinckley Reservation is also home to the annual festival known as Buzzard’s Day, which celebrates the return of the turkey vulture to the area around mid-March. The Metroparks’ Mill Stream Run Reservation is 12 min away with trails, rope courses and zip lines, as well as The Chalet, which has two toboggan chutes that are open in the winter. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is 19 min away with 33,000-acres including the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.
If you’re a golfer, this is a prime location with only 6 min to Pine Hills, 5 min to Valleaire, 8 min to Hinckley Hills and Ironwood, 10 min to Briarwood, and 14 min to Bunker Hill. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, St. Bernard Golf Club is 9 min; Weymouth Country Club and Pleasant Valley Country Club are 15 min away.
