Wakefield Run is a production-built community of roughly 80 homes built by Kimbal Hill Homes between 2000-2006.

The majority of homes have full brick facades. Homes range from 2,600 to 5,700 square feet with 3-6 bedrooms and 2.5-5.5 bathrooms.

Homes are appointed with desirable amenities including open floorplans, hardwood and ceramic tile flooring, crown moulding, dramatic two-story foyers with open staircases, two-story great rooms with fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, private dens or flex rooms, and first-floor laundry rooms with cabinets and utility tubs. Large kitchens feature an abundance of granite or quartzite countertops, tile backsplash, breakfast bar seating, walk-in pantry, and dinette area. First or second-floor owner’s suites include a sitting area, walk-in closets, and spa-like baths with custom tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks or vanities, and an enclosed lavatory. Finished lower levels (some are coveted walk-outs!) are complete with media/theater rooms, kitchens/kitchenettes, bars, and exercise rooms. Homes offer 2 to 3-car attached garages, most of which are front-entry.

Homesites range from .23 to .36 acres. Homes back to a conservation easement or open space (designated by citron coloring on map above) owned by the HOA. Outdoor living spaces include covered porches, custom decks and/or patios, and fire pits. Privacy is achieved by fencing or planted pine trees.

Wakefield Run entrance on Vista Ridge Circle

There is only one entrance from Boston Rd via Vista Ridge Cir. The community also encompasses two cul-de-sacs streets, Heartland Cir and Meadow Crest Cir. There are no curbs or sidewalks.

Homes have city water and city sewer.

Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Wakefield Run are approximately $203 semi-annually.

It is connected to its sister subdivision, The Preserve at Wakefield Run, which has entrances on Boston Rd and State Rd.

Convenient Location

The subdivision of Wakefield Run in Hinckley Ohio is located in northeast Medina County, along the border of Cuyahoga and Summit counties. The community entrance is off Boston Rd just west of Broadview (Rt 176).

Access to highways is convenient with just 8 minutes to I-77, and 12 minutes to I-80/Turnpike and I-271.

As for parks, The Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is only a 10 min drive with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges. Hinckley Reservation is also home to the annual festival known as Buzzard’s Day, which celebrates the return of the turkey vulture to the area around mid-March.  Cuyahoga Valley National Park is 13 min away with 33,000-acres including the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.

Michael Angelo’s Winery is just .2 miles east for great wine and a gorgeous outdoor setting.

If you’re a golfer, you are only 6 min to Hinckley Hills and Briarwood, 7 min to Ironwood and Seneca, 9 min to Valleaire, 11 min to Sleepy Hollow, and 13 min to Pine Hills Golf Club.
