Tramonte Orchard Estates is an elite community of 27 custom-built luxury homes on 2+-acre heavily wooded homesites in Sharon Township of Wadsworth, Ohio (Medina County).
This development is located off the east side of State Rd, between Medina and Ridge Roads. It encompasses Messina Rd and seven homes along the northernmost portion of Appian Way (house numbers 5395-5470).
Homes were constructed from 1996-2019 by custom builders including Fred Zumpano, Old World Classics, and Smith Custom Homes.
Facades include a variety of designs that make for an interesting streetscape.
These homes range from 3,800-8,800 square feet with 4-6 bedrooms and 3-6 bathrooms.
Inside, homes are appointed with hardwood or LVP flooring, extensive trimwork, dramatic two-story foyers with turned staircases, formal dining rooms, sitting rooms or private dens, and large laundry rooms with built-in sinks and cabinets. Two-story or vaulted great rooms with fireplaces are open to kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops, tile backsplash, center islands with breakfast bar, a walk-in pantry, dinette area, and even hearth rooms or sunrooms. Owner’s suites include sitting areas, large walk-in closets, and spa-like bathrooms with tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Finished lower levels (some are coveted walkouts!) are complete with media rooms, bars, kitchenettes, billiard rooms, wine cellars and tasting rooms, and/or exercise rooms. Side or rear-entry garages accommodate 3-4 cars. Some homes also have detached garages.
Homes have well water and septic tanks.
Backyards feature professional landscaping, decks and/or covered patios with fire pits, and even in-ground pools.
Homesites are sized between 2.2 and 5.6 acres.
True to country living, as with most Wadsworth subdivisions, there are no curbs or sidewalks along Messina Dr or Appian Way.
Messina Dr ends in a permanant cul-de-sac.
As Appian Way turns eastward, it adjoins The Ridge, which is accessible off the north side of Ridgewood Rd.
There is no Homeowner’s Association (HOA) or associated fees at Tramonte Orchard Estates.
Residences are served by the highly-rated Highland Local School District along with bussing to St. Albert the Great School and the prestigious Old Trail School.
Bordering this subdivision to the east is The Estates of Sharon Falls.

Allardale Park is 13 min away for hiking and equestrian trails, a picnic shelter and indoor lodge. Bath Nature Preserve is a 14 min drive with hiking and equestrian trails, two ponds for catch-and-release fishing, sled riding, and cross country skiing. The Cleveland Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is 15 min away with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges. Hinckley Reservation is also home to the annual festival known as Buzzard’s Day, which celebrates the return of the turkey vulture to the area around mid-March. It’s 17 min to Lake Medina for hiking, fishing, canoeing, and cross-country skiing.
Golfers have numerous courses accessible in 20 minutes or less including Hinckley Hills, Pleasant Valley, Ironwood, Briarwood, Bunker Hill, Seneca, and Sleepy Hollow. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, you’re 8 min to The Sharon Golf Club and 14 min to Weymouth Country Club.
Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Resorts are a 25 and 30 min drive for skiing and tubing during the winter months.
