About The Ridge
The Ridge is an upscale community of 26 custom-built luxury homes on 2+-acre homesites in Sharon Township of Wadsworth, Ohio (Medina County). This development is located a half-mile east of State Rd off the north side of Ridgewood Rd and encompasses Spring Ridge Dr and seven homes on Appian Way (house numbers 5492-5591).
The Ridge homes were constructed from 2005-2019 by custom builders including Steven Moore Custom Homes.
Facades include a variety of designs that make for an interesting streetscape.
The Ridge homes range from 3,600-9,500 square feet with 4-5 bedrooms and 3-5 bathrooms.
Inside, homes are appointed with hardwood or LVP flooring, extensive trimwork, dramatic two-story foyers with turned staircases, formal dining rooms, sitting rooms or private dens, and laundry rooms with built-in sinks and cabinets. Two-story or vaulted great rooms with fireplaces are open to kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops, tile backsplash, center islands with breakfast bar, a walk-in pantry, and dinette area. Owner’s suites include sitting areas, large walk-in closets, and spa-like bathrooms with tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Finished lower levels (some are coveted walkouts!) are complete with media rooms, bars, kitchenettes, billiard rooms, wine cellars and tasting rooms, and/or exercise rooms.
Side or rear-entry garages accommodate 3-4 cars. Some homes also have detached garages and/or circular driveways for additional parking and unobstructed garage access.
Homes have well water and septic tanks.
Backyards feature professional landscaping, decks and/or patios with fire pits, and even in-ground pools.
Homesites in The Ridge are sized between 2.0 to 3.7 acres. Some are double lots with combined property up to 4.3 acres.
Homes along the north end of The Ridge are partially or fully enveloped by woodlands, offering the ultimate in privacy and verdant beauty.
Previously used for agriculture, the south end of the community is flat and offers fully cleared lots with wide open vistas. Privacy is achieved with plantings.

True to country living, as with most Wadsworth subdivisions, there are no curbs or sidewalks along Appian Way or Spring Ridge Dr.
Post is conveniently delivered to mailboxes at the end of each driveway.
As Appian Way turns northwest, it adjoins Tramonte Orchard Estates, which has its own entrance off the east side of State Rd. To the northeast, Appian Way becomes the Estates of Sharon Falls.
Bordering The Ridge to the east is The Preserve of Sharon Falls.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at The Ridge are approximately $75 annually.
Residences are served by the highly-rated Highland Local School District along with bussing to St. Albert the Great School and the prestigious Old Trail School.

The Ridge is located in Sharon Township of Wadsworth (Medina County) Ohio, off the north side of Ridgewood Rd, a half-mile east of State Rd.
Highways are accessible in 7 min to I-71, 10 min to I-77, 11 min to I-271, and 20 min to I-80/Turnpike.
The Montrose/Fairlawn shopping districts are just 8-12 min east for a plethora of dining options, grocers, and retailers including grocery, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Hobby Lobby, T. J. Maxx, Target, Walmart, World Market, Staples, and JCPenney.
Summit Mall and shopping center is 11 min away. Anchored by Dillard’s and Macy’s, it boasts over 125 of your favorite retailers like Apple, J. Crew, Gap, and Vera Bradley as well as the restaurants you crave like First Watch, P.F. Changs and Bravo. Local outdoor recreation amenities are plentiful! The 150-acre Granger Wetlands Wildlife Sanctuary is a 7 min drive. You’re 9 min to Carolyn Ludwig Mugrage Park with green space, two miles of trails, a large playground, fishing pond, and a spacious fenced dog run. Allardale Park is 10 min away for hiking and equestrian trails, a picnic shelter and indoor lodge. Bath Nature Preserve is a 13 min drive with hiking and equestrian trails, two ponds for catch-and-release fishing, sled riding, and cross country skiing. The Cleveland Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is 15 min away with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges. Hinckley Reservation is also home to the annual festival known as Buzzard’s Day, which celebrates the return of the turkey vulture to the area around mid-March. It’s 14 min to Lake Medina for hiking, fishing, canoeing, and cross-country skiing. The 33,000-acre Cuyahoga Valley National Park, which includes the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is 18 min away. Richfield Heritage Preserve is 19 min away, offering 336 wooded acres with hiking trails that include a portion of the Buckeye Trail, winding streams, two lakes for fishing and non-motorized watersports, and a horse barn with five miles of bridle trails.
Golfers have several courses accessible in 20 minutes or less including Hinckley Hills, Pleasant Valley, Ironwood, Briarwood, Bunker Hill, Seneca, and Sleepy Hollow. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, you’re 8 min to The Sharon Golf Club and 14 min to Weymouth Country Club.
Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Resorts are a 25 and 30 min drive for skiing and tubing during the winter months.
