Highland Glenn Brecksville Community Guide
Highland Glenn is a subdivision of 48 homes along two adjacent, unconnected cul-de-sac streets near the intersection of E Edgerton Rd and Highland Dr in southwestern Brecksville Ohio.
Homes were constructed between 1996-2008 by semi-custom and custom builders including Bench Field Development, Drees Homes, Metro Park Builders, Patricia Homes, Serenity Construction, Shell Builders, and Stradtman Builders.
Homes in Highland Glenn include ranch, cape cod and colonials that mainly range from 3,000-4,800 square feet with 4-5 bedrooms and 2.5-4 bathrooms.
Front elevations are mainly traditional late-90s/early-aughts styles with either full brick or partial brick/stone with stucco or horizontal vinyl siding.
Since homes were constructed by a variety of builders, features may vary. Common amenities include two-story foyers with open staircases, hardwood/LVP flooring, formal dining rooms, formal living rooms and/or private dens, and first-floor laundry rooms with utility tubs, and fireplaced great rooms that are open to updated kitchens with quartz/granite countertops, breakfast bar seating, pantry, and dinette area. First or second-floor owner’s suites include walk-in closets and bathrooms with walk-in showers, jetted/soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Finished lower levels (some are coveted walkouts!) are complete with media rooms, billiard area, bars and/or exercise rooms. Front or side-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars.
Backyards are equipped with composite deck and/or custom patios.
Most homes along the west side of Glen Coe Dr have wooded backyards. Those along the cul-de-sac of Roxburghe Dr have heavily wooded backyards.
For those concerned about health and safety or visual encumbrance, a row of high voltage (HV) steel lattice tower transmission lines run between the two streets of this subdivision. Unfortunately, they are visible from most backyards of abutting homes.
Highland Glenn homesites are approximately 100′ wide, ranging from 0.53 to 2.72 acres, with the majority of lots sized from 0.53 to 0.76 acres.
Glen Coe Dr is off the north side of E Edgerton Rd and the adjacent street of Roxburghe Dr is off Highland Dr. Each entrance has landscape beds with stone signage, a landscaped median in the center of the street, and a treeline along the main road, offering privacy from passing traffic. Both streets end in cul-de-sacs and are enhanced by curbs, sidewalks, and street trees. As single cul-de-sac streets, traffic is limited to residents and their guests.
In addition to Glen Coe Dr and Roxburghe Dr, this community also includes the home at 9700 Highland Dr.
This neighborhood is serviced by the Brecksville–Broadview Heights City School District, which is consistently rated as one of the best school districts in the state.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Highland Glenn are approximately $18/month.
Directly west is the subdivision of Mount Vernon.

Location Details
Highland Glenn is located in southwest Brecksville Ohio near the intersection of E Edgerton Rd and Highland Dr.
Highways are conveniently accessible with just 4 min to I-77, 11 min to I-80/Turnpike, and 13 min to I-271.
While the proximity to I-77 is convenient, the northeast end of the subdivision is between 0.1 and 0.2 miles west of the interstate. Homes are at a higher elevation than the highway and are separated by trees, but the community may still experience noise pollution.
Downtown Brecksville is only 6 min away.
There are endless opportunities for hiking, biking, picnicking, fishing, kayaking/canoeing horseback riding, winter sports, exploring nature, and wildlife viewing. Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate being 0.7 miles (5 min bike; ≤17 min walk) to the Metroparks’ Valley Parkway All-Purpose Trail, which adjoins the 81-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail to the east, and extends to west through Mill Stream Run Reservation all the way to Rocky River Reservation.
Brecksville Reservation (≤4 min drive, 11 min bike), the largest of the Cleveland Metroparks’ reservations, offers scenic gorges, caves and an extensive system of trails, including a section of the Buckeye Trail.
Cuyahoga Valley National Park is 11 min away with 33,000 acres including the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.
The Brecksville Community Center is 6 min away with 64,000 square foot state-of-the-art recreation facility, which includes an indoor olympic-sized swimming pool, hot tub, saunas, a 5,000 square-foot fitness center, an elevated track, batting cage, indoor basketball and volleyball courts, an outdoor playground, full-sized outdoor basketball court, walking & jogging trails, and a brand new outdoor aquatics facility with pool, water features, multiple slides, zipline, rock wall and a lazy river.
If you’re a golfer, you are only 4 min to Seneca and Sleepy Hollow, 6 min to Briarwood, and 13 min to Ironwood and Valleaire Golf Courses.
Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Resorts are just a 15-20 min drive.
