Prairie Vista in the Village of Richfield Ohio is a community of 18 homes custom-built exclusively by Petros Homes between 2007-2014.

Homes are mostly styled as modern farmhouse with partial stone and vinyl, but there are a couple of homes with stone and stucco or full brick facades.

With finished basements, these homes range from 3,200-5,700 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 3.5-5.5 bathrooms. There is one home measuring 11,000 square feet with 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.

These homes feature open floorplans, hardwood and ceramic tile flooring, two-story foyers, dual staircases with wrought iron balusters, two-story/vaulted great rooms with fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows, formal dining rooms, private dens, and second-floor lofts. Large kitchens feature an abundance of quartz or granite countertops, tile backsplash, breakfast bar seating, walk-in pantry, dinette area and/or morning room or sunroom. First-floor owner’s suites include vaulted or tray ceilings, fireplaces, large walk-in closets and bathrooms with custom tiled walk-in showers with sprays, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Finished lower levels (some are coveted walkouts!) are complete with media or theater rooms, kitchenettes, bars and exercise rooms. Homes offer oversized 2-3 car side-entry garages.

Homesites range from .77 to 1.3 acres. All but three homes back to the 25 acres of greenspace owned by the HOA is (designated in yellow on map above). The western side of the street has wooded lots and/or views of wooded greenspace. The homesites and greenspace on the eastern side are cleared for views of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park forest, which begins on the east side of Revere Rd.

Outdoor living is enhanced by custom patios/and or composite decks, covered porches, fire pits or fireplaces, and even private in-ground pools.

Richfield Heritage Preserve is 7 min away, offering 336 wooded acres with hiking trails that include a portion of the Buckeye Trail, winding streams, two lakes for fishing and non-motorized watersports, and a horse barn with five miles of bridle trails. Eastwood Preserve is an 8 min drive, offering 28 acres with an educational facility, hiking trails, a fishing lake, and a community garden. The Cleveland Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is only a 10 min drive with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges. Hinckley Reservation is also home to the annual festival known as Buzzard’s Day, which celebrates the return of the turkey vulture to the area around mid-March. You are also just 10 minutes from Summit Metro Park’s Furnace Run. 

If you’re a golfer, you are only 12 min to Sleepy Hollow, 13 min to Hinckley Hills, 14 min to Ironwood, 15 min to Briarwood and Seneca, 18 min to Valleaire, 19 min to Pine Hills Golf Club, and 20 min to Bunker Hill.
