The Farmstead Homes

About The Farmstead in Richfield

The Farmstead is a wooded community of 36 homes nestled against Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Richfield, Ohio (Bath Township) and less than one mile from Revere Elementary, Middle and High Schools.

This subdivision is located along the southeast corner of Everett Rd and N Revere Rd, with entrances off each. It comprises the residential streets of Burnbrick Rd, Farmstead Rd, Oxbow Rd, and Woodsmill Dr (also written as Woodsmill Rd).

These homes were custom-built from 1977-1987.

Homes include ranch and two-story styles with traditional or contemporary floorplans ranging from 2,800-6,100+ square feet with 4-5 bedrooms and 2.5-5.5 bathrooms.

Homes are appointed with amenities including hardwood or LVP flooring, laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, dramatic two-story foyers with open staircases, formal living and dining rooms, sunrooms, fireplaced great rooms, and kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops and dinette area. First or second floor owner’s suites include walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms. Full finished lower levels (some are coveted walk-outs!) may include theater or media rooms, billiard rooms, kitchens/kitchenettes, bars, exercise rooms, and storage areas.

Attached front or side-entry garages accommodate 2-4.5 cars. Some homes also have a detached garage.

Homes have well water and septic systems.

Farmstead lots range from 2.0 to 4.4 acres. Nearly every homesite is partially or heavily wooded, offering scenic sylvan privacy.

Several tributary streams of Furnace Run intersect this development, offering scenic ravined topography and opportunities for wildlife sightings. These properties are not within a designated FEMA flood zone. View FEMA Flood Map.

Farmstead topography map

Homes along the eastern edge of the community abut the lush forest of Cuyahoga Valley National Park (green area on above-illusrated map). Access to the trailheads of Riding Run Trail and Perkins Trail  are 0.3 miles east of the Farmstead Rd entrance. NOTE: In recent years, Everett Rd east of Farmstead Rd was vacated. The CVNP plans to add a connector trail and a ten-car parking lot at the corner of Farmstead and Everett roads to reinstate access to the trail system.

To the south, Farmstead Rd adjoins Thornapple Hill subdivision, which connects to Wills Subdivision II.

This neighborhood is served by the top-rated Revere Local Schools and is conveniently a 5 min bike/≤15 min walk to the Elementary, Middle and High Schools.
