Top of the Hill (also called Top-O-Hill or Olde Connecticut Land Grant) is an elite community of 30 custom-built luxury estates amongst rolling hills in Bath Township of Montrose-Ghent (Akron), Ohio.

This subdivision is located 0.8 miles east of N Cleveland Massillon Rd off the north side of Yellow Creek Rd, comprising the residential streets of Top of the Hill Rd (also called Top-O-Hill Dr) and Roundhill Rd (also spelled Round Hill Dr), and one home at 3064 Round Hill Spur, a private drive (also spelled Roundhill Spur).

These exquisite homes were individually designed and constructed between 1982-2005 by custom builders including R.M. Hamlin, Marchetta, and Phil Franz.

These commodious 1-story (ranch) and 2-story homes range from 3,800-10,000 above-grade square feet with 4-8 bedrooms and 3.5-8.5+ bathrooms.

Top of the Hill Rd, Roundhill Rd, and Roundhill Spur each end in a permanent cul-de-sac.

As with most Bath neighborhoods, streets do not have curbs (except for the entrance) or sidewalks.

Top of the Hill is also accessible through the adjoining community to the west via N Martadale Dr off Ghent Hills Rd, and through the community to the north via Bonnebrook Dr off W Bath Rd.

This neighborhood is served by the top-ranked Revere Local School District. The prestigious Old Trail School is an 8 min drive.

Highways are accessible in 4 min to I-77, 10 min to I-271, 13 min to I-80/Turnpike, and 20 min to I-71.

Summit Mall and shopping center is only 7 min away, offering over 125 of your favorite retailers and the restaurants you crave. Nearby plazas add even more shopping and dining options.

Local outdoor recreation amenities are plentiful! Only 6 min away is the 33,000-acre Cuyahoga Valley National Park, which includes the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. Bath Nature Preserve is 11 min north with hiking and equestrian trails, two ponds for catch-and-release fishing, sled riding, and cross-country skiing. Also 11 min away is Allardale Park with hiking and equestrian trails, a picnic shelter and indoor lodge. Richfield Heritage Preserve is 13 min away, offering 336 wooded acres with hiking trails that include a portion of the Buckeye Trail, winding streams, two lakes for fishing and non-motorized watersports, and a horse barn with five miles of bridle trails. Eastwood Preserve is a 14 min drive, offering 28 acres with an educational facility, hiking trails, a fishing lake, and a community garden. The Cleveland Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is also 14 min away with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges.

If you’re a golfer, Top of the Hill is 14 min to Loyal Oak Golf Course and J. E Good Park Golf Course, and 16 min to Mud Run Golf Course and Pine Valley Golf Club. Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Resorts are an 18-min drive for skiing and tubing during the winter months.
