Forestridge (also spelled Forest Ridge) is a community of 64 custom-built luxury homes with sloping, heavily wooded lots in the Village of Richfield, Ohio. This development is located south of Brush Rd between Broadview Rd and Humphrey Rd. It encompasses the residential streets of Emerald Blvd, Forestridge Dr, Swan Lake Dr, Pine Lake Cir, Evergreen Ln, and two homes on Humphrey Rd (house numbers 4180 & 4208).

This subdivision was constructed in three phases. Most homes were built between 1992-2006, with the most recent home constructed in 2021. Custom builders include Bishop Homes of Richfield, Gillespie Homes, Prestige & Premier Homes, and United Homes.

These ranch and two-story homes range from 4,500-12,300+ square feet (including finished basements) with 3-6 bedrooms and 3.5-6.5+ bathrooms.

Homes are loaded with premium finishes and elegant details including hardwood flooring, extensive millwork, custom ceilings, large laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, dramatic two-story foyers with open staircases, formal dining rooms with butler’s pantry, formal living rooms and/or private dens with built-ins, and two-story/vaulted great rooms with fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows that open to large kitchens featuring an abundance of quartz or granite countertops, a breakfast bar, serving buffet, top-of-the-line appliances, walk-in pantry, dinette area, and morning room or hearth room. First or second-floor owner’s suites include vaulted or tray ceilings, sitting areas, large walk-in closets with built-ins, and spa-like bathrooms with custom tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Some homes have in-law/guest suites! Finished lower levels (some are coveted walk-outs!) are complete with media or theater rooms, kitchenettes, bars, wine cellars, and exercise rooms.

Oversized side or rear-entry garages accommodate 3-5+ cars. Some homes also have outbuildings used as pool houses, detached garages, or guest houses.

Community entrance

There are two entrances to this development: Emerald Blvd off Broadview Rd and Forestridge Dr off Humphrey Rd. The entrances are ornamented by a divided median with landscaping, stone pavers, and stacked stone signage.

Fun fact: Summit County’s highest point is located immediately north of the entrance to Emerald Blvd at 4349 Broadview Road (elevation of 1,320 feet above sea level).

The perimeter of the development along the main roads is bordered by white three-rail ranch-style fencing and a backdrop of mature trees, offering privacy to homes.

The streets of Evergreen Ln, Forestridge Dr and Pine Lake Cir have cul-de-sacs with landscaped islands.

Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Forestridge are approximately $600 annually.

This neighborhood is served by the top-ranked Revere Local School District.

The subdivision of Forestridge (also spelled Forest Ridge) in the Village of Richfield, Ohio is located in Summit County near the Hinckley border. It sits just south of Brush Rd, between Broadview Rd and Humphrey Rd.

This development is ideally located to highways with only 6 min to I-77, 7 min to I-80/Turnpike, 8 min to I-271, and 15 min to I-71.

On the opposite side of Broadview Rd is Richfield Heritage Preserve, offering 336 wooded acres with hiking trails that include a portion of the Buckeye Trail, winding streams, two lakes for fishing and non-motorized watersports, and a horse barn with five miles of bridle trails. You are just 9 minutes from Summit Metro Park’s Furnace Run. Richfield Woods Park is 0.4 miles south of the Emerald Blvd entrance, which has pavilions, a playground, and catch and release pond. The Cleveland Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is only an 8 min drive with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is 8 min away with 33,000-acres including the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.

Golfers are only 9 min to Briarwood and Seneca, 10 min to Sleepy Hollow and Hinckley Hills, 11 min to Ironwood, 13 min to Valleaire, 16 min to Pine Hills Golf Club. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, you’re just 6 min to St. Bernarddr Golf Club.

Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Resorts are just a 13 min drive for skiing and tubing during the winter months.
