About Redfern Farms in Columbia Station

Redfern Farms is a community of 64 single-family homes located in northeast Columbia Station Ohio, off the south side of Redfern Rd, a half-mile east of E River Rd. The subdivision comprises two homes on Redfern Rd (house numbers 23737 & 23785) and the cul-de-sac streets of Bridle Path, Crosstie Trl, Saddlehorn Cir and Trotter Ct.

Most homes were built by Gill Construction from 1998-2005. The final few homes were constructed by various builders between 2013-2019.

Homes include ranch and two-story styles ranging from 2,500-4,100 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5 bathrooms.

Inside, amenities may include hardwood flooring, first-floor laundry rooms with cabinets and utility tubs, two-story foyers, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, private dens with glass-paned doors, and fireplaced great rooms with volume, vaulted or two-story ceilings that are open to kitchens featuring quartz or granite countertops, breakfast bar, walk-in pantry, and dining area. Owner’s suites (some are first-floor) offer vaulted ceilings, walk-in closets, and en-suite bathrooms with soaking tubs and/or custom tiled walk-in showers, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Full lower levels are finished with recreation rooms, wet bars, and exercise rooms. Attached garages accommodate 2-5 cars.

Homes are serviced by public water. Some homes have septic tanks, and others are connected to the public sewer.

Homesites are a minimum of 125′ wide x 310′ deep and have 100′ home setbacks. Lots are sized from 1.0 to 11.83 acres. Most are cleared offering wide-open views.

⚡For those with health sensitivities or concerns about visual encumbrance or home values, high-voltage H-frame steel pole transmission lines run across the side yard of 10848 Bridle Path, the rear properties on the south side of Crosstie Trl, and across the Crosstie Trl cul-de-sac.

🛢️Oil and gas wells are located on the following properties: 10989 Bridle Path, 25140 Crosstie Trl, and 25116 Trotter Ct.

The entrance street of Bridle Path has signage suspended between brick pillars.

White split-rail fencing and a row of broadleaf trees extend along the front of the community, offering privacy.

As with most Columbia Station subdivisions, there are no curbs or sidewalks.

With only one entrance and no connection to another community, traffic is limited to residents and their guests.

This community is served by Columbia Local School District.

Homeowner’s Association fees at Redfern Farms are approximately $150 annually.

Redfern Farms is bordered by several residential subdivisions: to the east and northeast by Creekridge, to the south by Baker Creek Estates and Fairway, to the southwest by Hunting Meadows, and to the west by The Estates of Columbia Ridge.

Redfern Farms is in northeast Columbia Station along the border of Strongsville, a half-mile east of E River Rd off Redfern Rd.

Highways are accessible in 12 min to both I-71 and I-80/Turnpike.

Great Northern Mall (North Olmsted) and SouthPark Mall (Strongsville) are both a 14-min drive.

There are plenty of nearby recreational opportunities. The city’s Columbia Township Park (7 min drive) is home to ball fields, tennis and basketball courts, a volleyball court, horseshoe pits, pavilions, a playground, and a walking path. The park also hosts various events year-round. You are 9 min from Lorain County Metro Parks’ Columbia Reservation with 425-acres characterized by open scenic views transversed by The Rocky River, numerous lakes and ponds, kayak/canoe access, 4 miles of trails, a playground, 18-hole mini-golf course, picnic shelters, a pizzeria & ice cream parlor, and an outdoor movie theatre. It’s 15 min to Cleveland Metroparks’ Mill Stream Run Reservation with extensive trails, Wallace Lake and beach, rope courses and zip lines, as well as The Chalet, which has two toboggan chutes that are open in the winter. 

Swings-N-Things Fun Park is 12 minutes away – offering 13 acres of indoor and outdoor fun including two go-kart tracks, two 18-hole miniature golf courses, bumper boats, batting cages, indoor playground, a two-story game room, paintball, and homemade ice cream.

Columbia Station has three public 18-hole courses — Creekwood, Hickory Nut, and Royal Crest — as well as a 36-hole course at Mallard Creek.

If you are looking for private club membership, the Country Club of Columbia Hills (7 min) has catered to the area’s residents since 1929.
