About Hidden Valley Condos in Rocky River
Located off Lake Road in Rocky River Ohio’s coveted Beachcliff II neighborhood, Hidden Valley condos offer a secluded wooded setting, maintenance-free living, a neighboring park, and access to two private beaches. This single-street enclave of 33 residences was constructed between 1979-1983, many of which have since been updated.
They offer 3-4 levels that mainly range from 2,000-4,000 square feet with 2-4 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5 bathrooms.
Other than 2 stand-alone units, the rest are small groups of attached homes (like townhouses). Each row of units has varying Tudor designs of brick, stucco and timber.
NOTE: Although Hidden Valley units appear to be townhomes, they are classified as condos.
Principle rooms include spacious fireplaced family rooms with vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, private dens or flex rooms, formal dining rooms/areas, and kitchens with center islands, dining areas and even sunrooms. Second floor owner’s suites feature vaulted or cathedral ceilings, fireplaces (select homes), walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with dual sinks/vanities, soaking/jetted tubs, and/or walk-in showers. Attributes may include exposed brick, built-ins, pocket wet bars, skylights, wood-beamed ceilings, and limestone-tiled floors. Homes have slab foundations or coveted walkout basements with bars and additional living areas. Garages accommodate 2 cars.

This community encompasses homes along the winding street of Hidden Valley Dr (also called Hidden Valley Rd). The entrance is off the south side of Lake Rd, a half-mile west of Wager Rd. It is elegantly flanked by landscape beds with community signage specifying the private drive, decorative brick walls with lantern-topped pillars, hedging, groundcover, and perennials.
As a single-street community with no connection to another subdivision, traffic is limited to residents and their guests.
NOTE: Directly southwest is Rocky River’s Wastewater Treatment Plant (purple area on above map), which can sometimes be odorous.
This neighborhood is served by the top-rated Rocky River City School District.
Hidden Valley residences are within Beachcliff II neighborhood, part of the Beachcliff Trust Association, granting access to the private Wagar and Parklawn beaches (additional dues of roughly $35 annually)!
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Hidden Valley Condos are approximately $650 monthly, which include snow removal, landscaping, and grounds maintenance. As a maintenance-free community, the Condo Association is responsible for all exterior common area and condo maintenance, roofs, exterior wood painting, gutters, masonry, paving, driveways, security lighting, exterior structure insurance, water, home entrances, sprinkler system, and tree maintenance.

Hidden Valley condos are located in northwest Rocky River Ohio, a half-mile west of Wagar Rd.
I-90 is accessible in just 4 min.
Downtown Rocky River is 5 min away with over 50 boutique retail stores and award-winning restaurants.
Surrounding recreational opportunities are abundant! You a 12 min walk from two parks! Directly southeast is Elmwood Park, which has baseball fields, a playground, and a pavilion. Bradstreet’s Landing 5.56-acre lakefront park recently underwent a 600-foot pier renovation. Phase 2 of construction to begin in 2023 will include improvements to the approximately 425-feet long sand beach as well as an all-new parking lot and driveway, a 115’ long waterfront boardwalk and pedestrian bridge over Spencer Creek, a glass pavilion, greenspace, and approximately 90 feet of curved masonry seating steps for enjoying water views.
Walk to the private Parklawn and Wagar beaches in 8 min and 15 min respectively.
Reese Park, a 4 min drive or 30 min walk, offers a playground, basketball and tennis/pickleball courts, and a baseball field.
The Metroparks’ Rocky River Reservation is only a 6 min drive, offering 2,520 acres with picnic areas, play areas, sledding hills, ball fields, nature trails, paved trails, nature center, stables and bridle trails, a marina, fishing areas, boat rentals, waterfalls and lagoons, and three golf courses.
Clague Park is also 4 min away, which hosts Westlake’s 4th of July fireworks display, has ball fields/courts, picnic pavilions, walking trails, and a duck pond. Also located in the park is the new Westlake Aquatic Center with five bodies of water for all ages: slide plunge pool, lazy river, activity pool, splash pad, and the main pool with diving board, climbing wall and lap area.
You are 5 min from the premier dining and social club, The Clifton Club, with a 3-story historic clubhouse, tennis courts, and a private beach with a playground and lakefront venue.
Westwood Country Club is a 7 min drive.
Boaters will feel right at home at The Cleveland Yachting Club (CYC) – a 6 min drive – one of the oldest and most prestigious yachting clubs in the nation. Home to more than 300 sail and powerboats, CYC is known for its beautiful setting, first-class facilities and family-friendly atmosphere. CYC is located on its own island at the mouth of Rocky River, nine miles west of downtown Cleveland.
It’s only 11 min to the 75-acre, open-air collection of restaurants, retail and entertainment at Crocker Park — the best shopping on the west side of Cleveland — including Apple, Nordstrom Rack, Trader Joe’s, World Market, Bed Bath & Beyond, Athleta, Chico’s, GAP, J. Crew, and tons of dining options.
