About Grand Oaks in Olmsted Township

Located in southwest Olmsted Township Ohio, Grand Oaks is an upscale single-street community of 41 custom-built luxury homes with 1/2-acre+ lots by Garland New Homes.

Homes were constructed between 2013-2023. Garland offered 24 ranch and 2-story floorplans from which to customize. Homes range from 2,000-5,600 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-4.5 bathrooms.

Facades are similarly styled with partial brick so that the subdivision has architectural symmetry.

Grand Oaks homes have 9′ first-floor ceilings, PELLA windows with Insulshield Glass and Low E & Argon Gas, Colonial Poplar baseboards and casings, designated foyers, garage-entry mud halls with cubbies and a bench, first-floor laundry rooms with cabinets and utility tubs, formal dining rooms, formal living rooms and/or private dens, and open-concept living areas with fireplaced great rooms and kitchens featuring recessed lighting, granite or quartz countertops, tile backsplash, center islands with pendant lights and breakfast bar seating, Aristokraft oak or maple cabinets, walk-in pantry, dining area and/or morning room. First or second floor owner’s suites offer walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with soaking tubs and/or tiled walk-in showers, dual sink vanities, and enclosed commodes. Finished lower levels include bars, media rooms, exercise rooms, and storage areas. Attached side-entry garages accommodate 2-4 cars and have insulated garage doors.

Backyards are enhanced by custom stamped patios, built-in fire pits, pergolas and/or covered living areas.

Grand Oaks homesites are 100′ wide x 286′ deep and sized from .55 to .94 acres (average lot size is .66 acres). Other than four lots with treed backyards around the cul-de-sac, most lots are cleared but abut a neighboring wooded parcel.

Homes occupy the street of Grand Oaks Trl, which is off Sprague Rd, 0.2 miles west of Sharp Rd. The entrance is flanked on the left side by a landscaped bed with community signage between stone pillars.

As a single-street community that is not connected to another subdivision, traffic is limited to residents and their guests.

In addition to Grand Oaks Trl, this subdivision also includes the stub street of Hidden Brook Ln, which may be extended with future development opportunities.

The community has streetlights, street trees, a cul-de-sac, and curbs and sidewalks on both sides of the street.

Residences are served by the highly-rated Olmsted Falls City Schools.

Homeowners’ Association (HOA) fees at Grand Oaks are approximately $300 annually.

Convenient Location

Grand Oaks is located in southwest Olmsted Township Ohio along the border of Columbia Station and North Ridgeville. The entrance is off Sprague Rd, just west of Sharp Rd.

Highways are conveniently accessible in 8 min to I-80/Turnpike and 10 min to I-480.

Nine min away is Olmsted Fall’s fully restored Victorian shopping village, Grand Pacific Junction, has over 30 unique shops, restaurants and services.

Great Northern Mall and North Olmsted’s bustling retail sector is a 15-min drive. You are 17 min from the 75-acre, open-air collection of restaurants, retail and entertainment at Crocker Park —the best shopping on the west side of Cleveland — including Apple, Nordstrom Rack, Trader Joe’s, World Market, Bed Bath & Beyond, Athleta, Chico’s, GAP, J. Crew, and tons of dining options. 

Surrounding recreational opportunities are abundant! At the corner of Columbia Rd and Water St (11 min drive) is Village Green Park, a 3-acre parcel with two full-size basketball courts, horseshoes, a gazebo, a schoolhouse replica pavilion, picnic tables and grills, and the newly renovated playground and splash pad. Across the street is the scenic 5-acre Fortier Park, a former sandstone quarry along the confluence of Rocky River West Branch and Plum Creek that includes the city’s namesake waterfall as well as Plum Creek Falls and numerous cascades, rocky ledges, fishing, a charming covered wooden bridge and stone arch bridge, wooded trails, picnic areas with grills, and an old-world style stone-covered pavilion. On the opposite side of the river is East River Park (≤10 min walk) featuring a fireplaced pavilion, picnic tables and grills, a scenic overlook deck, walking trails, a playground, sledding hill, and is the site of Concerts in the Park during summer.

Lorain County Metro Parks’ Columbia Reservation is an 11 min drive with 425-acres characterized by open scenic views transversed by The Rocky River, numerous lakes and ponds, kayak/canoe access, 4 miles of trails, a playground, 18-hole mini-golf course, picnic shelters, a pizzeria & ice cream parlor, and an outdoor movie theatre. The Metroparks’ Rocky River Reservation is only a 14 min drive, offering 2,520 acres with picnic areas, play areas, sledding hills, ball fields, nature trails, paved trails, nature center, stables and bridle trails, a marina, fishing areas, boat rentals, waterfalls and lagoons, and three golf courses. 

Swings-N-Things Fun Park is 6 min away – offering 13 acres of indoor and outdoor fun including two go-kart tracks, two 18-hole miniature golf courses, bumper boats, batting cages, indoor playground, a two-story game room, paintball, and homemade ice cream.

Golfers are 7 min from Creekwood, 9 min to Mallard Creek, 13 min from Hickory Nut, Pine Brook and Royalcrest, and 15 min from Meadowood, Springvale and North Olmsted Golf Club.
