About Battery Park Lakeview Townhomes

Located at the northern end of Battery Park between W 73rd and W 74th Streets, Lakeview Townhomes include 17 three-story contemporary residences offering limited-maintenance living, a full balcony deck, and a rooftop deck with views of Lake Erie, Edgewater Park and/or the downtown Cleveland cityscape.

These townhouses cater to active lifestyles with direct pedestrian access to the 147-acre Edgewater Park & Beach and the Cleveland Lakefront Bikeway, and walkability to the extensive dining and entertainment offerings of the renowned Gordon Square Arts District.

Battery Park is located on the former site of the Eveready Battery Co. (later branded Energizer Battery) factory. The site was remediated and developed into a residential urban redevelopment project in 2006. Today it is the largest housing development in the City of Cleveland, comprised of freestanding single-family homes, townhouses and apartments spanning W 70th to W 76th Streets. The factory’s historic Powerhouse Building, with its illuminated landmark smokestack, was renovated to include a brewery and restaurant.

Lakeview Townhomes were one of the final groups of townhouses built in Battery Park, designed by LDA Architects and constructed by Marous Builders’ family-led Vintage Development Group in 2016.

The Lakeview Townhouse complex comprises an L-shaped building with 6 west-facing units oriented toward Edgewater Beach (W 73rd Pl addresses) and 9 north-facing units overlooking Edgewater Park’s greenspace and the lake (Catlin Ct addresses), as well as a detached building with two units also positioned at the park/lake (W 74th St addresses). Addresses include 1201-1212 W 73rd Place, 7302-7318 Catlin Court, and 1216 & 1218 W 74th Street.

The property is bordered on its north and east sides by black aluminum fencing with picket points. Just beyond the fence are train tracks.

NOTE: Freight trains regularly run the train tracks along the north end of Battery Park. Noise levels near the railway lines are higher than those further south.

Contemporary exteriors have orthogonal lines, flat roofs, a mix of black vinyl picture and casement windows that maximize views and natural light, and facades with fiber cement board panels, light gray vertical vinyl siding, and varying shades of wood laminate.

With 3 stories, these townhouses feature airy open interiors with 1,815-2,085 square feet with 2-3 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5 bathrooms.

Lakeview Townhomes are part of Battery Park’s “Luxury Collection” targeting the upper-income market. These luxury townhouses include high-end features like granite countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms, bamboo floors, Schlage door hardware, Moen fixtures, and stainless steel appliances. See the spec sheet.
