Located at the northeast corner of W 54th St and Herman Ave, in the Gordon Square area of the Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood, are Harborview Townhomes—seven contemporary three-story residences offering limited-maintenance living and a rooftop deck with views of the downtown Cleveland cityscape and/or Lake Erie.
Harborview townhomes are strategically located for active lifestyles: a short walk to the extensive dining and entertainment offerings of the renowned Gordon Square Arts District and 500 feet from Cleveland Lakefront Bikeway access, connecting to Edgewater Park & Beach, the Flats West Bank, and beyond.
The bikeway passes through the 3.11-acre greenspace parcel bordering the north end of these townhouses (green section on map below).
Harborview townhomes were developed in 2015 by Mike DeCesare of Case Development.
The complex comprises 7 units: one row of 3 units fronting W 54th St (house numbers 1311, 1313 & 1315), and one row of 4 units along Herman Ave (house numbers 5320, 5322, 5324 & 5326).
Contemporary exteriors feature dark brown cement board panels, wood-look cladding, dark grayish green siding, white framed windows, white horizontal metal balcony rails, and red doors.
With 3 stories, Harborview townhomes offer 1,786-2,456 square feet with 2-3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.
Features include a 2-car garage, bonus room, bamboo flooring, and large casement and picture windows that maximize views and natural light.
Ground entry-level & garage: Front entrances are enhanced by a landscape bed and a covered front porch, most able to accommodate seating and/or decorative planters. The front door opens to a large foyer with space for a bench/cubbies. An adjacent bonus room (gym, home office, art studio, or bedroom) has full-sized windows. At the back of the foyer is a door to the attached 2-car garage.
Garages are at the rear of townhomes and open to an auto court off W 54th St.
Second floor: The main living level includes a powder room and open floor plan with bamboo floors, a living area, dining area, slider doors to a balcony (large enough to accommodate a small grill and/or chairs), and kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite/quartz counters, full island (no sink!) with a breakfast bar, and pantry.
Third floor: The third level of Harborview townhomes has 1-2 guest bedrooms, a full hall bath, laundry closet, and the owner’s suite appointed with large windows, a walk-in closet, and en-suite bath with, dual-sink granite vanity, and a tiled walk-in shower with glass door.
Fourth-level rooftop deck: At the top of the stairs to the rooftop deck is a wet bar with a mini-fridge for on-site refreshments. Rooftop views may include the cityscape or Lake Erie.
Harborview Townhomes offer a 15-year tax abatement through 2029.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees for Harborview Townhomes are approximately $75 monthly, which includes grounds maintenance and snow removal.
Residences are served by the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.

Harborview Townhomes are located at the northeast corner of Herman Ave & W 54th St in the Gordon Square section of Cleveland’s urban West Side Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood.
Downtown Cleveland is just a 5 min drive! Highways are accessible in 6 min to I-90, 9 min to I-71, 10 min to I-77, and 12 min to I-480.
Ohio City (4 min drive) and Tremont (9 min drive) both offer infinite dining options.
The world-class Gordon Square Arts District is just a 5 min walk for endless retail and dining options, and entertainment opportunities including performing arts theaters, a historic movie house, music venues, and conveniences like grocers and pharmacies.

Lake Park‘s outdoor pool and playground are a 5 min drive/8 min bike. Boaters have several options for marinas including Edgewater Yacht Club (4 min drive, 6 min bike, or 20 min walk), marinas along Edgewater Park and Whisky Island (8 min drive, 11 min bike), and Cleveland Yachting Club (17 min drive) – one of the oldest and most prestigious yachting clubs in the nation. CYC is home to more than 300 sail and powerboats and known for its beautiful setting, family-friendly atmosphere, and first-class facilities including a restaurant, bar, docks, fuel, and a pool.
