Tillman Park Townhomes

About Tillman Park Townhomes
Tillman Park Townhomes are located in the Gordon Square section of the Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood, offering 16 three-story contemporary residences with a coveted private fenced backyard with a patio, an elevated deck, and rooftop terrace with incredible views over Lake Erie and downtown Cleveland.
Strategically located for active lifestyles at the northeast corner of W 49th St and Tillman Ave, Tillman Park townhouses are a short walk to the extensive dining and entertainment offerings of the renowned Gordon Square Arts District and around the corner from Cleveland Lakefront Bikeway, connecting to the 147-acre Edgewater Park & Beach, the Flats West Bank, and beyond.

Built in 1998, Tillman Park was one of the early residential redevelopment projects led by the Detroit Shoreway Community Development Organization (DSCDO). Since then, the area has transformed into one of the city’s most sought-after neighborhoods.
The Tillman Park complex includes 16 total units, either fronting W 49th St or Tillman Ave. Addresses for W 49th St include odd house numbers 1331-1349. Tillman Ave addresses include house numbers 4810-4872.
Each 3-story unit has 2,056-2,487 square feet, a 2-car garage, 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a flex room with access to a private fenced yard—uncommon for urban townhomes, and a rooftop deck with beautiful views of Lake Erie and downtown Cleveland. In fact, Tillman Park was the first project to have roof decks in the city of Cleveland!
Striking exteriors feature staggered blocks of horizontal cladding in varying shades of sherbet with white-framed windows, flat rooflines with white fascia, and suspended flat metal awnings.
Ground floor/entry level: Garages (2-car) open to an individual driveway at the front of the townhome. Entering from the garage is a bonus room (gym, home office, playroom or art studio) with full windows, a utility closet, a stairway to the second level, and access to the backyard.
Grassy backyards (a rarity with urban townhomes!) are fully fenced with a covered patio and enclosed outdoor storage.
At the front of the home is a glass-paned door that opens to the foyer/mud hall with glass block windows, space for a bench/cubbies, and stairs to the main living area.
Second/main floor: Open-concept living area with hardwood floors, abundant oversized picture and casement windows, a powder room, coat closet, fireplaced living room with sliders to a large deck, dining area, and kitchen with granite or quartz counters, breakfast bar and pendant lights.
The front staircase leading up to the third floor has a spacious landing—perfect for a reading nook or pocket office.
Third floor: Two bedrooms—both spacious! Guest bedroom, hall bath, laundry closet, and owner’s suite with a generous walk-in closet, and en-suite bath with dual sink vanity, soaking tub and/or glass-enclosed tiled shower.
Fourth-level rooftop: At the top of the stairs is an alcove for a wet bar and mini-fridge for convenience while entertaining on your sprawling rooftop terrace offering views towards Lake Erie and/or the downtown skyline.
Homesites range from 0.04 to 0.1 acres.
Directly northeast of Tillman Park townhomes is a 0.94-acre greenspace parcel owned by the City of Cleveland.
Across from the homes along Tillman Ave is the new (2020-built) Garrett Morgan High School Campus.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees for Tillman Park townhomes are approximately $125 monthly.
Residences are served by the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. On the opposite side of Tillman Ave is Garrett Morgan High School.
