The Crossing at French Creek is a new construction community by Drees Homes in North Ridgeville, Ohio, located off the east side of Avon Belden Rd (Route 83), 0.7 miles south of Mills Rd.

The subdivision will comprise the streets of Baldauf Crossing, Harold Ct, Marcella Way, Raymond Dr, and the north end of Rosebelle Ave.

Phase 1, encompassing 41 lots, is nearly complete. Phase 2 is currently under development, adding 51 more homesites along the east half of the community. Upon completion, the subdivision will total 92 residences.

These semi-custom luxury homes are being built exclusively by Drees Homes.

Homes were constructed beginning in 2025.

These ranch and two-story homes range from 1,863-3,541+ square feet (above grade) with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-4.5 bathrooms.

There are two lot size categories in this development:

  • The Crossing: The 40 “Crossing” lots (purple parcels on plat map above) range from 0.20 to 0.25 acres, measuring approximately 63′ wide x 143′ x 155′ deep with a minimum of 22′ setbacks. These smaller lots appeal to buyers who appreciate spending minimal time on yardwork. Drees is offering nine ranch and two-story Crossing floorplans that range from 1,863-3,202 above-grade square feet.
  • The Reserve: There are 52 “Reserve” lots (green parcels on map) offering more acreage. They range from 0.30 to 0.50+ acres, measuring approximately 85′ wide x 155′ deep with setbacks of roughly 35′. Five ranch and two-story floorplans are available for Reserve lots, ranging from 2,392-3,541 above-grade square feet.

Available features depend on the home’s size and layout. First floor amenities and principal rooms may include hardwood or LVP flooring, a front entry foyer, garage-entry mud hall (most floorplans), formal dining room and/or flex room (private den, playroom, living room), pocket office (some floorplans), and a great room (optional fireplaces) that opens to the kitchen featuring granite or quartz countertops, a center island with breakfast bar, walk-in pantry, dinette area, and even a sunroom.

First or second floor owner’s suites include walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with soaking tubs and/or tiled walk-in showers. Dual sink vanities and enclosed commodes are options.

First or second-level laundry rooms.

Second floors include a loft/game room for additional living space near bedrooms.

Optional finished lower levels can include rec rooms, bars, media rooms, exercise rooms and/or storage rooms.

Front-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars. The third space may be tandem.

Living is extended outdoors with patios, composite decks or covered living areas.

Previously used for agriculture, the site has level topography.

Homesites are cleared of old-growth trees, offering open vistas. Privacy is achieved with plantings.

The subdivision has 10.1 acres of HOA-owned common area (gray area on above plat map) with walking paths and two stormwater management ponds.
