Highways are accessible in 5 min to I-77, 11 min to I-271, 12 min to I-76, 14 min to I-71, and 15 min to I-80/Turnpike.
The Montrose/Fairlawn shopping districts are just 5-8 min, offering a plethora of dining options, grocers, and retailers including grocery, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Hobby Lobby, T. J. Maxx, Target, Walmart, World Market, Staples, and JCPenney.
Summit Mall and shopping center is 10 min away. Anchored by Dillard’s and Macy’s, it boasts over 125 of your favorite retailers like Apple, J. Crew, Gap, and Vera Bradley as well as the restaurants you crave like First Watch, P.F. Changs and Bravo. You’re 12 min to Carolyn Ludwig Mugrage Park with green space, two miles of trails, a large playground, fishing pond, and a spacious fenced dog run. The 33,000-acre Cuyahoga Valley National Park, which includes the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is 12 min away. Bath Nature Preserve is a 12 min drive with hiking and equestrian trails, two ponds for catch-and-release fishing, sled riding, and cross country skiing. The Cleveland Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is 15 min away with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges. Hinckley Reservation is also home to the annual festival known as Buzzard’s Day, which celebrates the return of the turkey vulture to the area around mid-March. Richfield Heritage Preserve is also 15 min away, offering 336 wooded acres with hiking trails that include a portion of the Buckeye Trail, winding streams, two lakes for fishing and non-motorized watersports, and a horse barn with five miles of bridle trails. It’s 19 min to Lake Medina for hiking, fishing, canoeing, and cross-country skiing.
Golfers will appreciate being 20 minutes or less from Hinckley Hills, Pleasant Valley, Ironwood, Briarwood, Bunker Hill, Seneca, and Sleepy Hollow. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, you’re 10 min to The Sharon Golf Club and 19 min to Weymouth Country Club.
Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Resorts are a 19 and 24 min drive for skiing and tubing during the winter months.
